At UBalt, you choose where you live and eat. We can help you find an apartment nearby and have arrangements with several apartment complexes to provide you with convenient,
cost-effective solutions. As for food: You'll never get sick of dining options with

Yes. All students are permitted to utilize on-campus parking and our shuttle service. If you don't have a car or prefer not to drive to campus, public transportation makes it a breeze to get around. You can utilize the free Charm City Circulator or
the city buses, Light Rail and subway. UB has a Walk Score rating of 91, meaning if you live near campus you don't need a car to run daily errands
like going to the supermarket, pharmacy, bank or restaurants.

Orientation: Once you're an official member of the UBalt community, you'll be invited to participate
in orientation. This will help you familiarize yourself with the campus and the resources available
to you, and it will also allow you to meet fellow students and UBalt faculty and staff
members.
Learning Communities: If you enter as a freshman, UBalt's learning communities will allow you to get to know your classmates and professors in a set of thematically
linked classes. These classes count toward your general-education requirements and
are designed to be interactive and flexible. A wide range of topics are available
for you to choose; recent themes have included social networking, superheroes, crime
dramas, classical mythology, propaganda and pop culture.
The UBalt Student Center is the hub of student life at the University. Inside, you'll
find a convenience store, a cafe, study lounges, meeting spaces, a TV lounge, a computer
lab, a game room and a 200-seat recital hall. The student center also houses several
campus-life centers you'll want to familiarize yourself with, including:
Our academic advisers will be some of your primary resources on campus. They can assist
you with finding course options and registration, understanding academic policies,
connecting with campus resources and fielding any other questions or concerns you

All incoming undergraduate students must meet with an academic adviser before they
are permitted to register for classes. You can expect details on how to meet with
your adviser to be communicated to you from the Offices of Admission after you are accepted to UBalt.
If you're interested in graduate school, you can pursue an accelerated option that allows you to take up to 9 graduate credits that will apply to both your bachelor's
degree and your master's degree. You'll save about a semester of time and money earning
both degrees.
For those interested in continuing on to the UBalt School of Law, check out our prelaw options to launch your law-school career. It may be possible for you to become automatically admitted into law school and/or
to complete your undergraduate degree and law degree in a minimum of just six years.
