It's really important for me to get my students to understand the importance of the person, the human in the workplace, so we spend a great deal of time, um, trying to understand ourselves, first and foremost, building self-awareness, and understanding how we view the world, because that has implications for management and leadership, and by extension of I think that brings out the best in everybody, both in terms of performance and satisfaction in the workplace.
Kevin Wynne is an associate professor of management in The University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business. He teaches courses on organizational behavior, leadership and human relations, and how the future of business, including the growth of AI, will change how we work. He focuses his research on workplace phenomena, including employee well-being and work-life balance.
