The University of Baltimore (UBalt) is one of eleven degree-granting institutions in the University System of Maryland (USM). UBalt is located at 1420 North Charles Street in the heart of Baltimore's Mt. Vernon cultural district. The campus is located just one mile north of the picturesque Inner Harbor. The campus includes 12 buildings and 4 parking areas. UBalt's mission centers on providing innovative education in law, business and the applied liberal arts to serve the needs of a diverse population.

A public university, the University of Baltimore offers excellent teaching and a supportive

vision is to become a living-learning laboratory at the center of the Baltimore renaissance.

The University has approximately 6,500 commuter students of whom 3,420 are full-time
and 3,080 are part-time. The average age of our students is 29.5. UBalt has 689
employees of which 179 are faculty. Students are on campus for day, evening and weekend
classes, with the daytime classes having the most student enrollments. Most evening
classes begin at 5:30pm with another session following at 8:15pm.
The University's Department of Procurement and Materials Management handles procurement of goods and services for UBalt. The Director of Procurement and Materials Management, is supported by an Assistant Director and a Contract Specialist.

Construction and major renovation projects for UBalt are handled by the Construction Service Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
