International students need to remember two important deadlines:

the deadline to apply for admission and submit all required supporting academic credentials
the deadline for admitted students to submit the necessary international documents for visa purposes.

Below you will find more information about each of these deadlines.

Academic Application Deadlines
Undergraduate Applicants
- First-time Undergraduate applicants may apply for the fall semester (August) or spring semester (January).
- Undergraduate transfer applicants may apply for any semester or term.
Graduate Applicants
Graduate applicants may apply for any semester or term, with the following exceptions:
- Merrick School of Business: F-1 students cannot apply for the summer semester
- M.F.A. in Integrated Design: applicants may apply only for the fall semester and are reviewed beginning Feb. 15 until the program fills
- M.F.A. in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts: applicants must apply by April 1 for the fall semester only
- Doctor of Public Administration (D.P.A.): applicants may apply only for fall semester only and are considered on a rolling basis
- D.Sc. in Information and Interaction Design: applicants must apply by April 1 for the fall semester only

Visa Document Deadlines

Students Residing Outside of the United States
Additional time is needed to apply for a visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate and to make travel arrangements. Although some flexibility may apply to individual cases, we recommend that international documents be completed at least three months before the academic program start date:
- Fall: June 1
- Spring: Nov. 1
Students Residing in the United States
Students holding F-1 status should complete their international documents no later than 60 days after graduation or discontinuation of attendance at their current institution or within 60 days of the end date of their Optional Practical Training so that their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System record can be transferred to the University of Baltimore. Admitted students holding non-immigrant status other than F-1 should contact us for specific instructions and options.
