Please note: The same standards used in regular admission regarding breadth and depth in academic subjects, minimum standardized test scores, and achievement in coursework apply to students admitted under this policy. Admission may be granted conditionally until items above can be verified.
Dual Enrollment Students may be eligible for the Shelter Foundation Scholarship. Minimum requirements for this scholarship include:

Bard Early College (BEC) students who are on track to complete the BEC program, who will earn the Associate Degree and/or have a minimum of 60 undergraduate credits from BEC, and who have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in the college program at the time of application to UBalt are guaranteed admission.

BEC students who do not meet the guaranteed admissions criteria above are encouraged to apply to UBalt as a first year or transfer student, as appropriate. Contingent on transcript review and approval, BEC students’ college credits will be applied towards the bachelor’s degree at UBalt. A grade of C (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) or better must be earned for transfer eligibility. When successfully completed, the four-semester BEC Seminar sequence will be considered to have met the requirements of First Year Seminar: Introduction to University Learning, English Composition, and two Arts & Humanities electives. BEC students are encouraged to work with UBalt admission counselors and academic advisers when selecting requirement and elective coursework to ensure optimal credit application toward the anticipated UBalt program.
