Manrique was previously senior associate director in leadership development at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to that role, he worked at the University of Notre Dame for five years as program director for new student engagement, where he managed orientation and created a graduation-required course for new students.

Manrique earned his B.S. at Michigan State University and his J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was student government vice president, a member of the Moot Court Team, and on the executive board of the Latino Law Students Association.

Before making the transition into higher education, Manrique worked as a litigator at a national law firm in Chicago specializing in education law and government relations.
