The Merrick School of Business holds AACSB International accreditation. This is the world's leading standard-setting body for business education, and accredits only 6 percent of the world's top business schools, recognizing them as trailblazers in teaching, research, and societal impact.


MBA Programs

The School of Business offers the Flex MBA two ways—the more "traditional," in-person, evening classes with online classes as an option -or - our fully online program, where you never have to come to campus (unless you want to).  This 39-credit program has ten Core Courses and three additional courses that you choose.

 

The flexibility comes in all sorts of ways.

  • You can customize your program by selecting three courses that fit your goals or your can specialize by choosing one of our predefined options.
  • We don't have a minimum or maximum amount of classes you must take each semester.  
  • You can choose to take classes online, in-person or both. Unless you are fully online, but even then we have options for you.
  • You can take courses year-round or take a short break and startup again. 
  • You can switch your specialization, just talk with an adviser first.

Choose the UBalt Flex MBA that allows you customize your program or choose one of our 12 predefined specializations.

 

Just like our more "traditional" program, you can choose nine credits in the Flex Online MBA to best fit your goals or you can choose one of the four specializations.

We have built dual-degree programs here at UBalt and with our sister insitituion, the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

The UBalt MBA and UMBC's M.S. in Engineering Management have collaborated to offer oppportunities to both our student bodies.

 

 

 

One more option for our Flex MBA is to take your courses in Hagerstown, Maryland at the University System of Maryland's regional higher education center that serves western part of the state.

Specialized Master's Programs

Offering Specialized masters and most with STEM-designations

The M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory program is a STEM-designated program. That means you'll have the oppportunity to take courses that prepare you for today's workdforce needs.  This program offers a specialization in Data Analytics too. This is a 30-credit program.  

 

This program also offers in-person courses at Towson University.

We know the flexibility of online courses oftens meets the needs of our students who live busy lives. The fully online M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services is an option for you. It has the same great UBlt professors teaching in the program as our other accounting program. This is a 30-credit program.  
M.S. in Artificial Intelligence for Business is a STEM-designated program focusing on the knowledge and skills you'll need to work with AI.  We don't take the human out of it at all. We developed a program where you and the technology work to improve your organization's performance. This is a 30-credit program.  
With all the data breaches and technology at our fingertips, have you ever wondered who is managing it all.  That's where the M.S. in Cybersecurity Leadership program fits in. This STEM-designated program  focuses on building leaders in the field of cybersecurity with the know-how to manage people and technology. This is a 30-credit program.  
The M.S. in Finance is a STEM-designated program emphasizing quantitative analysis, data-driven decision-making, and mathematical modeling. Students are equipped with advanced analytical tools and techniques, allowing them to tackle complex financial problems with precision. These skills are highly valued in today's data-driven financial industry, as they enable professionals to make informed and strategic decisions. This is a 30-credit program.

The Accounting Fundamentals Certificate aligns with the M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services program.
