Rock the Block is an annual event planned and implemented by the Student Events Board.
The Student Events Board oversees the annual Rock the Block. During Spring 2025 the Centennial Committee will be overseeing this event. More information to be found here.
Rock the Block was renamed, from Block Party, in 2017. The event tradationally takes place on Gordon Plaza and Mount Royal Avenue, but has been moved to the STudent Center, Inclusion Alley, and just on Gordon Plaza in the past. The event used to have themes in the 90's and early 00's, but in the 2010's it was decided that it would be an end of the year celebration. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. Activities include interactive games or items, novelties such as caricature artists and wax hands, photobooths or 360 photos, a DJ, and food.
