Student Fee Adjustments for the Fall 2020 Term
The fall 2020 semester is right around the corner and we want to provide you with
some important updates.
During the 2020-21 academic year, we will continue to charge the tuition rates from
2019-20. That means UBalt is not increasing tuition this year. Your fall tuition charges
and UBalt’s cost of attendance have been adjusted accordingly. The Office of Financial
Aid team is now adjusting financial aid packages.
With the University operating in a remote learning environment, we have decreased
the following mandatory fees for the fall 2020 semester. The auxiliary operating fee
is being reduced over 52 percent from $23 per credit hour to $11 per credit hour.
You will see this fee adjustment on your student account today. Other fall 2020 mandatory
fees have not been adjusted as they support ongoing fixed costs and fund student service
areas and student government that are providing all their services virtually. Any

UB has established several new resources to assist you with expenses related to the
pandemic. Hundreds of students have received special financial grants; these grants
provide immediate support and students do not need to repay them. Funding is available
for the fall semester to eligible students. See more information on the Office of

Students who have balances due from the spring 2020 semester or prior can sign up
for a payment plan to enable them to continue their education this fall while paying
their past balance in installments.
