What is Interaction Design & Information Architecture M.S.

How the program works:

  • You’ll integrate elements of computer science with humanities and arts perspectives, developing in-demand skills that companies and organizations are avidly seeking.
  • Your professors, many of whom are managing active research projects, will expose you to cutting-edge topics and encourage you to present your own work at national conferences.
  • You’ll apply advanced technologies in the context of the human experience, learning the skills required for this field’s most sought-after careers:
    • information architect
    • interaction designer
    • multimedia developer
    • user researcher
    • user-experience manager
    • creative director.
  • You'll also learn from your fellow students, who have backgrounds that range from computer science, social sciences and natural sciences to history, literature, languages and the arts. 
  • Classes are offered evenings (and occasionally on weekends), some courses are offered in the summer for continuing students and some courses are offered online.
