As CFCC’s Truancy Court Program (TCP) Mentor, Arion works with students and parents participating in the TCP and facilitates character-building/restorative practices classes and individual mentoring. He returned to this role in 2018, which he had previously held 2009–2010, before relocating to California. Arion plans and conducts the TCP’s Mentor program and focuses on integrating restorative practices into the TCP. He reaches out weekly to every TCP parent/caregiver to identify any issues that underlie a student’s unexcused school absences. Arion also finds and recruits speakers to facilitate workshops for TCP families, students, and school representatives. Prior to returning to Baltimore to rejoin CFCC, Arion taught fine arts at universities across the country from Maryland to Berkeley, California. He received a B.A. in Shakespeare Studies from U.C. Berkeley and an M.F.A. in Theatre from Wayne State University.
