The Sayra and Neil Meyerhoff Center for Families, Children and the Courts’ mission is to create, foster and support a national movement to integrate communities, families and the justice system in order to improve the lives of families and the health of the community.
CFCC aims to serve as a catalyst to improve the delivery of legal, social, court, administrative and other services to families within the family justice system; to provide a home for the critical thinking and attitudinal change necessary to establish such a movement; and to serve as a vehicle to change the paradigm of judicial and legal thinking about family law, including advocacy for the unified family court concept in jurisdictions throughout the country, providing technical assistance necessary to support pervasive change and training lawyers, judges, court personnel and other professionals to collaborate to resolve family conflicts in a therapeutic, ecological and service-based manner.
