Guidelines for Re-Enrolling at UBalt

You will need to submit a new application for admission if you were admitted and did not enroll in classes OR if you were previously enrolled and haven't registered for classes for more than three consecutive semesters (excluding summer and winter sessions).

  • The exception is students who have been granted an official leave of absence in advance.

You must have been in good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, when you left UBalt, and in any coursework you have taken since leaving.

  • If you were not in good academic standing, please submit an essay in response to the prompt: "What will you do differently to succeed at UBalt?"
  • Essays can be sent to documents@ubalt.edu. Please include your name and UBalt Student ID number in the subject line of the email. A faculty member or academic liaison will review your application and make a decision.

Any existing balances with the University must be cleared. For more information, please contact the Office of the Bursar at 410.837.4848 or ubaltbursar@ubalt.edu.
