UBalt students who are pregnant may request reasonable adjustments through the Office of Disability and Access Services (DAS) housed within the Office of Student Support (OSS). All academic adjustments will be made on a case-by-case basis, through the interactive process that is standard for all requests made through DAS. Adjustments are considered by DAS as they pertain to the physical and medical circumstances of the pregnancy and possible related conditions.

Two dedicated lactation rooms are available for faculty, staff and students who are nursing. Rooms are located in William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center, Room 315, and John and Frances Angelos Law Center, Room 032. Rooms do not require reservations and are available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 30 minutes.

Guidelines for Faculty working with pregnant students are available via The University of Baltimore’s Policy Guide (UB I-5.3). This document refers pregnant students to whom they should contact to request adjustments, reporting harassment or discrimination due to pregnancy and other important questions related to students who are pregnant.
